Satay By The Bay SF is supporting Singapore Food Festival this year by selling SAMBAL BELACAN from our truck from September 14-19!

What is Sambal Belacan?

If you like funk 🍤 and fire 🔥, this is it!

Sambal Belacan is a Singaporean/Malaysian-style hot sauce with toasted fermented shrimp paste, fresh chili, lime, salt and sugar.

It is usually served with jasmine rice, congee or with any Malay dishes to give it fiery, funky but yummy sensation! My mom eats it rice and raw veges (ulam) ❤️

And if you’ve read this far, our daughter Suraya will be performing with Three O’ Clock Rock at noon. Please note the truck will be closed for roughly 30-45 minutes around this time, so we can be there to support her. We hope you’ll join us 🙂
